In life there has to be a mix of work and play.

We at Lime feel extremely fortunate that our childhood hobbies (drawing & creating) have become what we do for a living.

I've long been inspired by the designers that have created iconic cars like the 1957 Chevy with it's gorgeous fins inspired from the aircraft of the day. The 49 Mercury was a turning point in automotive design, losing the big guards and side boards which created a smoother/ slicker looking car.

The idea of this project is to take a stock Mercury, cut bits off, add bits on, reshape, redesign parts of the car to hopefully improve where we can and not butcher the lovely design to start with... Some would say to leave it alone or restore it to it's original state but they can do that to their own one.. this one will look cooler than theirs anyway.

The Mercury is in very good hands at the moment with Jamie Downie at Kustom Garage... check out his other work and cool website design at www.kustomgarage.com.au
